About Ghograjan Tea Estate

Once upon a time, in the early 1930s, there was a man named Budhkaran Choukhany who had a dream of becoming a tea planter. He decided to start planting tea bushes near the Ghogra River in Upper Assam, India. This was the beginning of what came to be known as the Ghograjan Tea Estate.Today, the Ghograjan Tea Estate is a thriving tea plantation that has been passed down through generations of the Choukhany family. Today, Ghograjan Tea Estate is a fifth-generation family-run business. It is one of the largest tea estates in Assam, with over 350 acres of tea bushes under cultivation. The estate employs over 400 people and produces over 1 million pounds of tea per year. Ghograjan Tea Estate is known for its high-quality teas. The estate's teas are certified organic and Fairtrade. They are also Rainforest Alliance certified. Ghograjan Tea is sold in over 20 countries around the world.
