AVONGROVE TEA ESTATE
About Avongrove Tea Estate
Once nestled in the serene Rungbong Valley of the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, lies the Avongrove Tea Estate. The name itself had a special meaning - "Nest of Birds". The area was home to a plethora of birds, who added to the charm and beauty of the place. The locals often were amazed at the sight of the birds, and the name Avongrove became synonymous with the feathered creatures that called it home.
The estate was established with the aim of producing tea, and it was in a serene and picturesque environment. This sprawling tea estate is known for its exquisite tea leaves that are renowned for their rich aroma and flavour. At an altitude of 670 meters above sea level, there lies a vast expanse of land spanning over 200 hectares. The area is incredible, with its stunning views and serene atmosphere.
